Biography:
6/2009: Lady just arrived. She is a beautiful big girl, weighing 77 pounds. She has always lived in a home facility. Lady misses them a lot but we are on a quest to find a new forever home so she can be the happy girl that she once was. She is very sweet and is beautiful with great disposition. Even though she is eight years old you would not know that by the way she acts or even looks, except maybe around the eyes.
Here is what her foster mom says about this sweet Lady: Hi, I’m Lady, a sable and white standard Collie. I’m a sophisticated lady and not afraid to tell you my age. I’m eight. And have a little gray around my eyes, but I’ve earned it and still love life! My parents who adored me both went to an assisted living place. They couldn’t take me and were so sad we had to part ways. I came with my own treats and a box of toys, collar and leash. I still like to trot around with my tail held high. As any good Collie, I absolutely love to meet and greet people and other animals. I like to lay next to your legs and on your feet while you sit on the couch. I also like to give Collie kisses. I love walks and cuddling. I like to watch other dogs play, and bark at them, but I’m more of a lover than a player. I want someone who will love me in my golden years and appreciate that I still have a lot of life in me! I mind very well and have a total “Collie” personality, as I never meet a stranger. I’m told I’m a very special Lady.
9/12/2009: Lady went to her forever home with a great Mom and Dad. She is living in San Antonio and has her new Mom and Dad all to herself. She is doing very well and everyone is happy and having fun. We are so happy that Lady has found such a great forever home, and although we miss her, we know she is very happy. We love you sweet beautiful Lady. You were a great pleasure to have here with us since June.
