Biography:

Hi, my name is Bryce. I am a male smooth Collie mix. What my mix is I really don’t know. (Maybe a Red Heeler.)  The shelter thinks I am only about eight months old. I have a sable head and white with tan speckles. That is how I got my name Bryce. It is Scottish and means speckled! I just came to the rescue on October 14, 2009. So I have not been with my foster family very long. I am a really friendly guy. I love all dogs and people. We are working on cats right now. I have a cat in my foster parents’ house but he is mean and runs upstairs. Right now I have three Collie foster siblings and a Samoyed foster sibling that I love to wrestle with. I am quite an active guy. I have learned to sit, and working on down and come. My foster mom really insists on the come command! I walk well on a leash, and I am housebroken.

11/19/2009: I have been to the vet, and I weigh 38 pounds and heartworm negative. I also was neutered. The vet says I’m a very nice boy and in real good health. He thinks I’m cute since I’m so different. If anybody wants a really sweet boy that minds well, is house broken, create trained, get along with other dogs, and a lot of fun, then I’m the one for you!

12/11/2009: I have been in a different foster home since I went to the vet, and I am getting along great with all of the Collies and Shelties here. We run and play outside whenever we want and then come in the house and crash for awhile. I mind very well and know my name. I also know sit, walk very well on a leash, come when called, shake hands, and sleep in a nice soft bed in a crate every night! I really like my crate a lot and when I get tired I go in there and take a nap. I like to go to bed kind of early so that’s where I am until morning. I am going to make someone a really good friend, and I love the attention I get. I’m ready to go to my forever home whenever the right family comes looking for a great boy.

4/20/2010: Bryce went to his forever home in San Antonio on April 18. He is living with Holly that was adopted by this wonderful, loving family right at Christmas last year. Bryce now has a great Mom and Dad, and two teenage human sisters that are giving him tons of attention, playtime, and walks. He is going to be very happy in his forever home, and I’m sure he will become great friends with Holly. Good luck sweet Bryce and have fun.
