Biography:
My name is Holly. I'm a Smooth Collie, and I'm about four years old at the most. I haven't had a very good life because I look like I have just been used for breeding and didn't even have a nice bed to lay on. I came to Texas Collie Rescue on December 17, 2009 when a very nice man got me out of the Little Rock, Arkansas shelter. I had been there for a month and no one came looking for me after I was found on the streets. The people there really wanted me to get adopted so they wouldn't have to put me to sleep, but since the man came and got me I don't need to worry about that. I had quite a journey during that next week traveling from Little Rock to Texarkana where some nice people took care of me for nearly four days and then they drove me to Arlington, TX where a nice family kept me over night until I was taken to Magnolia, Texas. Once I got there I met a whole bunch of Collies to run and play with. But after they took me to the vet and got me all checked out and to the groomer for a good bath I left their house. I then went to San Antonio to a really great family with two girls and a Mom and a Dad. They are fostering me and are going to adopt me. The reason my name is Holly is because I came to the nice family on Christmas Eve and it made me so very happy to have my very own family for Christmas. They love me so very much and I am adjusting to my new home. I'm still quite shy but they are very understanding of my former live and are trying to help me understand I am home to stay and there is nothing to be afraid of. I do know one thing: I am alive and happy and so thankful for that.
